No, and it is rather a good sign. All real honey crystallises, only at different speeds: acacia can stay clear for up to a year, while Vlasina and forest honey both set in three to six months. It comes down to the ratio of fructose to glucose.

Stand the jar in warm water that is not above 40 °C and leave it, stirring now and then. It takes longer than you would like, but it is the only way that takes nothing away from the honey.

Never the microwave and never the hob. Above 40 °C you lose exactly what you buy apiary honey for.

Closed jar, room temperature, out of direct sun. Not in the fridge: cold only speeds crystallisation up.

Always a dry spoon. Water is the one thing that genuinely harms honey.

Years, in a closed jar kept properly. Honey does not spoil the way other food does, because there is too little water in it for anything to grow.

What changes is colour and thickness: it darkens and sets over time. That is ageing, not spoiling.

The limit is 40 °C and it is not crossed at any step. The honey is not pasteurised.

That is why a jar may arrive already set, especially in winter. Heating would make it look better on a shelf, but it would no longer be the same product.

Not during the flow. Syrup in the hive while the bees are bringing in nectar means sugar in the jar, and that line is not crossed.

Wintering is a separate matter and happens after the last extraction, once the honey is off.

Honey that does not come from a flower. Aphids on oak, maple and hornbeam leave a sweet trace on the leaves, honeydew, and the bees collect it once the flowers are gone.

It is darker, denser and less sweet, with a resinous note. It is not there every year. In a year it fails, the jar is not topped up with another variety.

A blend of meadow and forest honey that the bees make themselves. On the slopes of Čemernik the meadow and the forest sit side by side, so in a single day one hive works both blossom and honeydew.

Nothing is blended after extraction. The ratio shifts from year to year, so one jar does not match the last, and that is not corrected.

Acacia for the safe choice: mild, pale, never covers what it goes with.

Vlasina if you want the spoon-in-the-morning honey. Full and round, and it takes heat better than acacia.

Forest if you like dark and less sweet. With mature cheese and walnut.

Three separate extractions instead of one, two hive moves in a season and a hand centrifuge. On the Vlasina slopes the same hive yields considerably fewer kilos, and it is the most work of all.

And nothing is blended after extraction: one flow goes into one jar.

Payment is cash on delivery, to the courier: the order total and the delivery charge together. There is no card payment.

Orders over 5,000 RSD are delivered free. Below that, delivery is charged separately, at the courier's own tariff, and paid to the courier on collection, together with the order total: the BEX Express sets the tariff by parcel weight and address, so the exact figure is not fixed in advance on our side either.

Orders are handled on working days. Once the parcel is handed over, delivery takes usually 2 to 5 working days from hand-over, depending on the address. We ship to every town in Serbia. More on delivery

Yes: orders over 5,000 RSD are delivered free. Below that BEX Express charges for delivery at its own tariff rather than us.

On top of that, in Niš free delivery is possible, by arrangement, so for Niš call before you order.

We do not ship outside Serbia: honey counts as an animal-origin food and export needs paperwork we do not have. Within Serbia we ship everywhere.

Yes, in Vlasotince, by arrangement over the phone. Collection is arranged in advance so the honey is ready.

Yes, and we send it straight to the recipient. You choose one to three things from the whole range, meaning honey in a jar, honey in the comb or with wax cappings and propolis, and the size of each separately, and the same one can be repeated.

No price goes inside the parcel and nothing extra is charged for it. Put the recipient's address in the order note. Honey as a gift

Comb honey is a whole piece of comb with the honey the bees capped inside it, and the wax is eaten along with the honey. Honey with cappings takes in the thin layer of wax cut off the frames before extraction, so there is less wax and it is easier to lift with a spoon.

Both forms are filled with acacia and with Vlasina honey, in 500 and 980 g jars, and they cost the same. Comb honey

Yes, in 10, 20 and 50 ml bottles, with a spray head or a dropper at the same price: 250 RSD for 10 ml, 400 RSD for 20 ml and 800 RSD for 50 ml. Propolis

Yes, within 14 days of the parcel arriving, and you do not have to say why. Call or write, send us a bank account number, and post the jar to the address given on the returns page.

The jar has to be unopened, with the seal intact, because honey is food in sealed packaging and the law exempts it from return once it is opened. The buyer pays the return postage. Returns and complaints

If the damage shows on the outside, open the parcel in front of the courier and make a report there. If you notice it later, tell us the same day and send a photo of the parcel and of what was inside.

A broken jar is replaced or refunded, whichever suits you, and it has nothing to do with the 14-day withdrawal period. Returns and complaints
