The price is the same for both forms in the same size, so choosing between spray and drops does not change the bill. If you are ordering honey along with the propolis, it all goes into the same basket and the same parcel.
Resin from the buds.
The bees gather it from poplar and conifer buds, mix it with wax and coat the inside of the hive with it. That coating closes the gaps and narrows the entrance before winter, so propolis builds up on the frames and the walls, which is where it is taken off during an inspection.
The colour runs from yellowish to dark brown and shifts from year to year, depending on what the bees worked that season.
