The same honey, another form
Honey in the comb.
The comb is cut out of the frame together with the honey the bees capped inside it, so the jar holds wax as well. It comes as acacia and as Vlasina honey, in 500 and 980 gram jars.
In the comb
A piece of comb in the jar.
Once the honey in a cell has ripened the bees close it with a thin wax capping, and a piece of comb like that goes into the jar without being extracted. The wax is eaten along with the honey, usually on bread, and it can also be chewed until the honey has gone out of it.

The wax cappings.
Before extraction the thin layer of wax the bees used to seal the cells is cut off the frame, and that is the cappings. It goes into the jar together with the honey, which gives you honey with pieces of wax in it but without whole comb.
The price is the same as for comb, and the difference is in how much wax comes with the honey and in how you eat it: cappings are easier to lift with a spoon.
